Privacy Policy

Introduction

The Lagree Method, LLC (“The Lagree Method,” “TLM,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of the individuals and businesses who interact with our brand. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard personal information across our studios, websites, mobile apps, software platforms, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

In our mission to support a thriving community of fitness operators, instructors, and members, we collect and use information about:

•      Studio owners and operators who license The Lagree Method and use our software to power their fitness businesses

•      Members, clients, and class participants who book, attend, or purchase services at a Lagree Method-powered studio

•      Independent instructors and trainers who teach classes or list sessions through our platform

•      Equipment manufacturers, apparel brands, and product vendors who provide or list goods used in connection with our studios

•      Affiliates who refer prospective studio owners, instructors, or members to The Lagree Method

•      Technology and service partners who help our studios operate, market, or improve their Lagree Method-powered business

•      Users of The Lagree Method apps, online class platforms, and digital services

•      Visitors to The Lagree Method websites and anyone contacting our customer or studio support

Our Values

Trust is the foundation of The Lagree Method, and that includes trusting us to do the right thing with your information. Three core values guide us as we develop our products and services. These values should help you better understand how we think about your information and privacy.

Limiting information collection

We are careful to collect only the information we genuinely need to deliver, support, and improve our Services. Where possible, we delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed. When building and improving our products, our engineers work closely with our privacy and security teams to build with privacy in mind from the start.

Protecting your information

We work hard to keep your information out of the hands of bad actors and limit unnecessary sharing to third parties that request your personal information. We do not sell, share, rent, or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties. Where possible, we will refuse to share it unless you give us permission or we are legally required. When we are legally required to share your personal information, we will tell you in advance, unless we are legally forbidden.

Ecosystem privacy obligations

We help our studio operators, instructors, affiliates, and partner brands meet their own privacy obligations. We provide tools and product features that help them anonymize, minimize, and protect member information. When information must be shared within the ecosystem, we help safeguard it through access controls and built-in privacy protections.

Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with The Lagree Method. It generally falls into the following categories:

Information you provide directly

•      Account and contact information, such as your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, date of birth, and emergency contact

•      Health and fitness information you choose to share, including injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy status, fitness goals, and intake questionnaire responses, used to keep you safe in class and personalize your experience

•      Liability waivers, releases, and consent forms required to participate in classes or use studio equipment

•      Payment information, including credit or debit card details, billing address, and membership or package selections (payment card numbers are processed by our PCI-compliant payment processors and are not stored on our systems)

•      Class bookings, attendance history, cancellations, no-shows, and preferences such as preferred instructors or class times

•      Photos, videos, or testimonials you submit or that are captured in studio with your consent for marketing purposes

•      Communications you send to us, including support requests, survey responses, and feedback

Information collected automatically

•      Device and usage data, such as IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, pages viewed, and actions taken within our websites and apps

•      Location information at the city or region level, derived from your IP address or, with your permission, more precise location from your device to help you find a nearby studio

•      Studio check-in data captured through our booking and access systems

•      Cookie and similar tracking technology data, as described below

Information we receive from third parties

•      Information from studios you visit, including bookings made on your behalf and membership status

•      Information from social media platforms when you choose to connect an account or interact with our pages

•      Referral information from affiliates and partners

•      Information from payment processors, fraud-prevention services, and analytics providers

How We Use Your Information

We generally process your information when we need to do so to fulfill a contractual obligation (for example, to process payments for your membership, class pack, or use of The Lagree Method platform), or where we or someone we work with needs to use your personal information for a reason related to their business (for example, to provide you with a service). European law calls these reasons “legitimate interests.” These legitimate interests include:

•      Operating and administering classes, memberships, bookings, and studio access

•      Verifying eligibility to participate based on health, age, or waiver requirements

•      Preventing risk, fraud, and unauthorized account or facility access

•      Answering questions and providing customer and studio support

•      Helping studio operators find and use the tools and integrations available on our platform

•      Providing, maintaining, and improving our products, services, and class programming

•      Providing reporting and analytics to studios and to our own operations team

•      Testing out features or additional services

•      Assisting with marketing, advertising, and other communications, where permitted by law and consistent with your preferences

We only process personal information for these legitimate interests after considering the potential risks to your privacy—for example, by providing clear transparency into our privacy practices, offering you control over your personal information where appropriate, limiting the information we keep, limiting what we do with your information, who we send your information to, how long we keep your information, and the technical and organizational measures we use to protect your information.

One of the ways we help studios using The Lagree Method is by using techniques like “machine learning” (European law refers to this as “automated decision-making”) to help us improve our Services. When we use machine learning, we either: (1) still have a human being involved in the process (and so are not fully automated); or (2) use machine learning in ways that don’t have significant privacy implications (for example, recommending class times or suggesting workout plans).

Health and Sensitive Information

Because Lagree Method workouts are physically demanding, we may collect limited health-related information so that you and your instructors can train safely. We treat this information with extra care:

•      We collect only what is necessary to support a safe class experience

•      Access is limited to studio staff and instructors who need it to assist you

•      We do not use your health information for marketing or advertising purposes

•      We do not sell or share your health information with third parties for their own purposes

We are not a healthcare provider, and information you share with us is not protected by HIPAA. Please consult a licensed medical professional for medical advice.

Photos, Video, and In-Studio Recording

Some studios use security cameras for safety and incident review, and we and our studios occasionally take photos or video for marketing, class recordings, or instructor training. Where required, signage is posted in the studio. We will obtain your consent before using your image, likeness, or testimonial in marketing materials, and you may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us, although content already in distribution may take time to remove.

Marketing Communications

With your permission, we may send you emails, text messages, or push notifications about classes, promotions, new locations, events, and product updates. SMS marketing is sent only to numbers that have opted in, and message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of marketing emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in any message, opt out of SMS by replying STOP, and adjust push notification settings in your device. We may still send you transactional messages related to your account, bookings, or payments.

Your Rights Over Your Information

We believe you should be able to access and control your personal information no matter where you live. Depending on how you use The Lagree Method and where you live, you may have the right to:

•      Request access to the personal information we hold about you

•      Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information

•      Delete your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions

•      Port your personal information to another service provider

•      Restrict or object to certain uses of your personal information, including direct marketing

•      Withdraw consent where we rely on consent to process your information

•      Appeal a decision we make about your privacy request

We will not charge you more or provide you with a different level of service if you exercise any of these rights.

If you visit or purchase from a Lagree Method-powered studio and wish to exercise these rights over information about your visit or purchase, you may need to contact that studio directly. In many cases, we act only as a service provider or processor on the studio’s behalf and cannot decide how their information is used. We will help our studios fulfill these requests by giving them the tools to do so and by answering their questions.

Please note that if you send us a request relating to your personal information, we have to make sure that it is you before we can respond. In order to do so, we may ask to see documentation verifying your identity, which we will discard after verification.

If you would like to designate an authorized agent to exercise your rights for you, please email us from the email address we have on file for you. If you email us from a different email address, we cannot determine if the request is coming from you and will not be able to accommodate your request. In your email, please include the name and email address of your authorized agent.

If you are not happy with our response to a request, you can contact us to resolve the issue. You also have the right to contact your local data protection or privacy authority at any time.

Because there is no common understanding about what a “Do Not Track” signal is supposed to mean, we do not respond to those signals in any particular way. Where required by law, we honor recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC).

U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, and others with comparable laws) have additional rights described above, including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of “sales” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. As stated in this Policy, we do not sell your personal information.

Children’s Privacy

Our Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Where a studio offers programming for minors, a parent or legal guardian must complete registration, provide consent, and sign any required waivers. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, share, rent, or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share information only in the limited circumstances described below:

•      With studios you choose to interact with, so they can manage your account, bookings, and visits

•      With service providers who help us operate our business, such as hosting, payment processing, email and SMS delivery, analytics, fraud prevention, and customer support, under contracts that require them to protect your information

•      With professional advisors, such as auditors and attorneys, when reasonably necessary

•      In connection with a corporate transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, with appropriate confidentiality protections

•      Where required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of The Lagree Method, our studios, our members, or others

We are an Ohio company in the United States, but we work with and process data about individuals across the world. To operate our business, we may send your personal information outside of your state, province, or country. This data may be subject to the laws of the countries where we send it. When we send your information across borders, we take steps to protect your information, and we try to only send your information to countries that have strong data protection laws. If you would like more information about where your information might be sent, please contact us.

While we do what we can to protect your information, we may at times be legally required to disclose your personal information (for example, if we receive a valid court order). For information about how we respond to such orders, please contact our Chief Privacy Officer.

Cookies and Other Tracking Technology

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our websites, mobile apps, and online booking platforms. These technologies help us keep you signed in, remember your preferences, secure our Services, measure how our sites are used, and deliver relevant marketing. Some are strictly necessary, while others are used for analytics or advertising and require your consent in certain regions. You can control cookies through your browser settings and through the cookie banner shown on our websites where applicable.

Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our Services, comply with our legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the purpose for which we collected it. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, and misuse. These include encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring, employee training, and PCI-compliant payment processing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continuously to improve our protections. If we ever experience a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, our business, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this Policy and, where appropriate, provide additional notice such as an email or in-app notification. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
