## Snow Emergencies? [+] Lagree will only shut down under a level 2 or 3 snow emergency. Under any other Level or condition Lagree will remain open and all of our normal policies will apply for late cancel, no show's, etc.
## What do I need to bring to class? [+] Each client needs a pair of grip socks. If you don’t have any, you can purchase a pair at the Lagree fitness studio before your first class. You will need sneakers for the Versa classes as well. We also recommend bringing water and a towel. We have a water filling station.
## Do you offer an introduction class? [+] Beginners can attend any class type, please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start of class so we can review the equipment and prepare you for the class. We recommend first time clients purchase the "First timer one week unlimited".
## What is a VersaClimber? [+] A VersaClimber aka a Versa is a full body workout that combines zero to low impact, high intensity, vertical cardio with resistance training.
## What is a VersaClimber + Mega Class? [+] Class begins with 20 minutes on the Mega then ends with 20 minutes on the VersaClimber.
## What does "Down", "Up" and "360" mean? [+] A "Down", "Up" and "360" are for the 20 minute Mega portion of the Versa +Mega Class. A "Down" class means we are focusing on lower body, core and obliques. A "Up" class means we are focusing on upper body, core and obliques. A "360" class means full body.
## First Time Taking a Class [+] Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your first class. If you do not arrive at least 10 minutes before your first class and you have never done Lagree before you will be asked to reschedule. We must review the equipment to ensure the safety of our clients.
## How early should I arrive? [+] Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your fitness class beings. If it is your first class, please arrive at least 15 minutes before your first class.
## What if I arrive late? [+] We do understand that emergencies and/or delays do happen. If you are running late, please call and/or text the Lagree fitness studio (at least 10–15 minutes prior to class start time) so that we can hold your machine. If you arrive more then five minutes after your scheduled class start time (and do not call ahead), your Megaformer™ machine may be given to a standby student when the class begins.
## What is your Cancellation, Late Cancellation & No Show policy? [+] Any session cancelled between 1 and 8 hours of the class start time it is considered a late cancel. Late cancellations are a $15 fee or loss of credit. Any class not cancelled or any class cancelled less then 1 hour before the class start time is a "No Show". No shows are a $20 fee or loss of credit. There are no exceptions to our fees so please do not ask. ## How often should I work out? [+] There is no magic number, but we have seen that clients who get the most desirable and most dramatic results are training with us two to three times a week, with at least one day of recovery time between sessions. Once a week is fine for very elite athletes who are practicing their sport every day, or for those on the other end of the spectrum, with chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia, who may require a full week to recover. The rest of us, in order to stay in a fitness lifestyle, do best with two to three weekly workouts. Remember that you cannot out-train a bad diet. If your goal is to shed a lot of fat quickly, you will need to train more frequently.
## What about cardio? [+] The Lagree fitness method is cardiovascular. We also have the VersaClimber which is great extra cardio.
## Is slow-motion, high-intensity strength training really more effective? [+] A study of male and female subjects between 25 and 82 years of age conducted over a 10-week period, showed a 59% increase in overall strength using slow-speed repetitions compared to a 39% increase with traditional repetition speed. So yes, it is more effective. Moving slowly will stimulate more muscle fibers.
## What is the difference between Lagree and Pilates? [+] Pilates is a century-old method which focuses on five principles: breathing, concentration, control, centering, and postural alignment. Lagree fitness focuses on: Form Range of motion Resistance Duration Tempo Lagree is a high intensity, low impact workout with a focus on muscular endurance. It is a healthy alternative to CrossFit or other high intensity training (which can be strenuous and detrimental to the spine and the joints), or a great compliment. Lagree fitness classes are intense and purposefully sequenced to stimulate your muscles. Each move has the foundation of a plank, squat, or lunge, with a plethora of variations to help strengthen the entire body. The workout is taught on the Megaformer™.
## Is high-intensity strength training really better than doing volume sets, lots of reps, four or five days a week, along with running? [+] Yes! Always. You must stimulate a positive and adaptive response to progress. Besides, wouldn't you rather get all those benefits, with no risk of injury, in only two 40-minute sessions every week?
## Who are The Lagree Method classes for? [+] Men and women ages 18 and older of all fitness levels and body types. Please inform your instructor of any injuries you may have.
## I'm already in good shape. Will The Lagree Method benefit me? [+] Yes! This is unlike any other workout you have experienced. The slow and controlled movements engage your slow twitch muscle fibers to give you a deep burn. The Lagree Method will make you stronger, elongate your muscles, increase your flexibility, and make your core the strongest it's ever been.
## How many people are in each class? [+] There is a maximum of 12 clients per Lagree fitness class. The small class allows our instructors to keep each client accountable and help with individual needs.
## How quickly until I see results? [+] Everyone and each body type is different. Typically if you attend class at least twice a week you will start to see some changes around two to three weeks. After about a month, you should notice a change in your strength and stability.
## How long is each class? [+] 45 total body-burning minutes.
## What do I wear? [+] Work out attire and grip socks are required and if you are taking a versa class sneakers are required.
## Do you have lockers? [+] We have cubbies for you to store your belongings.
## Do you have showers? [+] No.
## Do you have childcare? [+] Our Lagree fitness studio currently does not offer childcare.
## Can I take the class if I am pregnant? [+] Always consult your doctor and follow their recommendations. Here is our general guideance. If you have been taking The Lagree Method regularly before getting pregnant then you can continue to do so, but be sure to inform your instructor so they can advise modifications. If you have never done Lagree before and are pregnant, it is not recommended that you start a new type of workout, especially one so core-intensive. VersaClimber classes do not present any specific issues for pregant woman so as long as your doctor has no objections these classes should be fine to take while pregant. Take breaks as needed.
## How do I create an account? [+] The system will prompt you to create an account when you try to reserve a class on our schedule page or buy a package on our pricing options page.
## Where are you located? [+] We’re located in Dublin, Ohio in Perimeter Loop. We are next to the Middlefield Banking Company and behind First Watch. The address is 6225 Perimeter Dr., Dublin, OH 43017. Our Lagree fitness studio has our own parking lot so no need to worry about parking. ## What about burning calories? [+] You can become a 24-hour-a-day fat-burning machine simply by adding some lean muscle! One of the great benefits of strength training through Lagree fitness is the calories burned as a result of the workout — not the calories burned during the workout. By effectively stimulating your muscles, you will add toned and defined muscle to your body, which causes the body to need more calories at rest. A more "muscular" body burns more fat at rest.
## Time Limited Contract Cancellations [+] All time limited packages are a 3 month committment upfront and than convert to month to month and must be cancelled before the auto monthly renewal date. No refunds will be given once payments are processed based on the monthly auto renewal data.
## Are you COVID-19 compliant? [+] Yes! Our machines are spaced to ensure each student has a 6 foot radius around them at all times. The machines are sanitized before and after every class. We also have non-touch features in our bathrooms.
## Do you offer any discounts? [+] Yes, we offer 15% off to students, teachers and active military. Please email info@thelagreemethod.com with a picture of your ID. Exclusions include, 1 week unlimited and drop-in.
